GLNewsReports is the independent news venture of Grendel Levy, an Emmy Award-winning journalist and former News Director with more than 20 years of experience in broadcast and digital media. Based in Jonesboro, Arkansas, GLNewsReports is committed to honest, community-centered reporting for the people of Northeast Arkansas.

Grendel Levy is an Emmy Award-winning journalist originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. She began her career at the ABC affiliate in New Orleans in the late 1990s, building a broad skill set across nearly every role in a modern newsroom, including producer, executive producer, special projects producer, and video editor.
Over the course of her career, Grendel has served as News Director in Boise, Idaho, Charleston, West Virginia, and Jonesboro, Arkansas. Her leadership style centers on teaching, mentoring, and developing journalists who do their best work. She is known for her cross-platform approach, meeting audiences on the platform and at the time that works for them.
Grendel and her family are happy to be back in the South and now call Jonesboro home. When she is not in the newsroom, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children and loves cooking, especially Cajun style.
